SHEBOYGAN (WITI) — Three people were hurt as a result of a house fire in the City of Sheboygan early Sunday, November 16th.

The Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to the home on S. 13th St. just before 2 a.m. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they were told all four people living in the two-story, single family house had gotten out safely.

Although the fire was intense enough to destroy the room where it started, the quick response enabled firefighters to limit extension elsewhere.

One¬†firefighter on scene was injured while slipping on the ice — and two of the four residents were taken to the hospital to be assessed for smoke inhalation.

The estimated damage to the building and its contents is listed at $40,000.
