ARRESTED: One in custody after BP gas station robbery in Brownsville

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with a robbery at a BP gas station in Brownsville . The suspect was arrested at his residence in the Village of Brownsville Tuesday morning, November 18th.

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say shortly after 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 17th officials took a 911 call from a gas station clerk advising that an individual wearing a ski mask and a hooded sweatshirt had entered the gas station, asking for a carton of cigarettes. When the clerk asked to see some ID, the suspect said he had a pistol in his waistband — though the clerk didn’t see a weapon.

The suspect was able to obtain the carton of cigarettes, and fled the scene.

Brownsville police say St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Lomira Schools were locked down Monday, November 17th  as a precaution due to the possibility the suspect in the robbery was armed — and because it was thought the suspect was of high school age.
