KENOSHA (WITI) — Pleasant Prairie police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metra Train Wednesday night, November 26th.

Pleasant Prairie Dispatch received a call from Union Pacific Railroad just after 7 p.m. They stated that a pedestrian was struck by a northbound train in the area of 90th Street and the 8th Avenue Tracks in Carol Beach.

Trains #349 and #357 were scheduled to arrive in Kenosha at 7:10 p.m. and 7:56 p.m. respectively — according to Metra’s website. Metra’s website indicates Train #349 was involved in the “pedestrian incident.”

At this point it is believed the victim is an adult male.

The victim’s identity is still unknown to police at this time. Police say it is also unknown if the accident was intentional.

The train was carrying passengers who were delayed for some time until a second train could come to the area of the incident and pick up the displaced passengers.

Anyone with information about the victim or the incident is asked to call the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7105.
