Holiday shopping is officially underway, but are the deals?

MILWAUKEE (WITI) --The holiday shopping is officially underway. We've got Black Friday behind us, and Cyber Monday in front of us.

It even looks like the holiday season, with the Christmas tree and holiday lights -- but the temperatures make it feel like another season!

Shoppers have been out and about taking advantage of the warmer weather trying to make a dent in their holiday shopping lists.

"I wouldn't have wanted to come out if it was sleet and cold and icy," said shopper, Cheryle Janasiak.

While it was the weather in part that pushed shoppers to Bayshore Town Center, it was the deals that kept them there.

"We're loading up today," said shopper, Bruce Myers.

Many shoppers out today say they avoided Black Friday. Saturday, they found shorter lines and less crowded stores. But some of the same doorbuster deals.

"The sales are still going on and we didn't want to deal with the crowds because it's a lot easier to shop when you're not shoulder-to-shoulder," said Deb Starita, shopper.

"It was great today, I don't like crowds at all and we figured that the doorbuster sales would still be going on so we though, well let's come out and check it out -- and we were right," said Janasiak.

Shoppers say another benefit about coming out on Saturday, people are a lot nicer -- you really feel the holiday spirit.
