"Joseph, Joseph! Can I get your autograph?" Make-A-Wish grants 9-year-old with celebrity wish!

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Ever wanted to be treated like a celebrity? That was the wish of one 9-year-old -- and Make-A-Wish is all about making wishes come true.

The star crazed fans are all ready and anxiously waiting for Joseph! The super star actually looked a little stunned. His grandmother says that's because he is!

"He didn't have any idea it was happening today. He just knew that it was coming. No idea when, so this was a giant shock for him," said Darilyn Monk, Joseph's grandmother.

It all started with a wish.

Joseph Stiff of Kenosha said he wanted a celebrity-style shopping spree. And Make-A-Wish and Macy's granted that wish big time!

Adoring fans, inside and out...the red carpet and pictures -- shouting "Joseph, Joseph! Can I get your autograph? Can I get a picture with you?"

He even has his own star!

Joseph lives with a life threatening blood disorder. Make-A-Wish grants wishes to bring joy to children like him.

"It means so much because it takes his mind off, you know, illnesses. It just helps him just have a really good time and just enjoy life," said Monk.

In Macy's he got to write a letter to Santa. He gave FOX6 News a hing of what he wrote.

"I said how are you doing, I know I'm doing good and I want whatever I don't get today," said Joseph.

With his security detail in tow, he got the special shopping spree treatment.

"We're fortunate enough that we have Make-A-Wish in here a couple times a year and our associates get so excited and it really puts a perspective on the holiday season for us," said Chris Katrichis, Macy's store manager.

Well, they've certainly helped make this 9-year-old's wish come true.

In addition to Joseph, Macy's is helping Make-A-Wish grant wishes to 49 other children across the country today.
