Man crashes car into tree overnight, sends 3 to hospital

WEST ALLIS (WITI) — West Allis police are investigating a suspected drunk driving overnight crash. They say an 18-year-old driving the car drifted into oncoming traffic before hitting a tree.

The accident happened near 84th and Arthur Avenue in West Allis.

Two people that were traveling in the car with the man were trapped inside due to significant damage to the vehicle. All three men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are indicating that the vehicle was traveling northbound on S. 84th St. and crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic before crashing into a single tree.

It does not appear any other vehicles were in the area at the time of the crash.

The driver was arrested for drunk driving and driving without a license.

    Im wondering what time this happened….was on my way to work in the general area around 6:15 this morning and I was almost his head on by a vehicle driving the wrong way down 76th street. …hmmm
