Heartwarming: Mother battling rare cancer receives surprise Christmas gift

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- One family decided to surprise their mother by wrapping up her son, who she hasn't seen in a long time, inside a present for Christmas!

The mother is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and was feeling a bit blue after her latest round of chemotherapy, but her whole demeanor changes once she opens her big gift.

The box awaits her at the bottom of the stairs, and inside is her son who lives in South Africa. Thinking she wasn't going to be able to see him until the summer, the happy surprise brightens her day!
