Gas prices slip to under $2/gallon in southeast Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- For drivers in southeast Wisconsin, it's been a long time coming -- gas prices lower than $2/gallon.
"People come in and talk about the price there everyday," said Diane Peschek, owner of The Corner Pub. "They didn't think they would ever see it under $2 again."
That's right -- gas under $2/gallon can now be found at the corner of 76th and Lisbon in Milwaukee -- if you're paying with cash. Nomies might have the cheapest gas in Milwaukee right now. Could it get lower? That's anyone's guess.
"We've actually got a little game started where you have to guess the price of gas -- where it's going to be in a week," said Peschek.
So what do you get from Peschek if you guess right on the price?
"Nothing, Recognition," said Peschek.
