Two trailers damaged by fire at Oakdale Estates Mobile Home Park in Somers

SOMERS (WITI) — Firefighters were called out to a mobile home park in Somers on Tuesday evening, December 30th after a fire broke out inside a mobile home.

Officials were dispatched to the Oakdale Estates Mobile Home Park shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire.

We’re told one trailer was fully engulfed, and is a total loss. A second suffered damage to its side and back. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire on the second trailer before it caused any internal damage.

No one was inside either trailer at the time of the fire. It is unclear at this time what may have caused the fire.

No further details have yet been released.
