MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Mother Nature helped out with a popular New Year’s Day activity in Milwaukee Thursday, January 1st.

There was plenty of wind for the “Cool Fool” Kite Festival!

The free event was held all day at Veterans Park.

Folks could bring a kite from home or purchase one at Veterans Park.

“It’s just something different to do on New Year’s Day. It’s the beginning of the new year — fly a kite, have a good time and drink hot chocolate that’s free and eat some free snacks and just have fun,” Scott Fischer said.

Besides flying kites, the Quiet Ice Carvers were also on hand working their magic on blocks of ice. They also provided some ice-carving lessons.

realistic target in the next couple of years, which is 25% higher than the price right now.
Though at times competitive, mining is still one of
the best professions early on and sometimes it can be easier than you
think. The greatness of the Wo – W Mage class is its ability to do AOE (Area of Effect) damage.
