MISSING: Family members say they last saw Stephanie Myles on December 13th, and they're concerned

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Family members say a young Milwaukee mother has been missing for three weeks. On Sunday afternoon, January 4th, those closest to the woman canvassed the area where she was last seen.

Stephanie Myles

Relatives tell FOX6 News 18-year-old Stephanie Myles left her home on December 13th to make a short walk to the Walgreens store near 85th and Brown Deer Road. They say December 13th was the last time they saw her.

"We love our sister and we just wanna see her return home safely," Samantha Coats said.

The snow and cold Sunday didn't stop Myles' family members from forming a search party to look for her.

"She has a one-year-old son, so this is not like her to just leave for weeks. It`s been 21 days now and she still hasn`t returned and again, never contacted no one in the family," Coats said.

Coats says her sister is mentally challenged, which only adds to the family's concern.

Family members went door-to-door on Sunday, and they say they hope the search for Stephanie Myles will become a community effort.

"Every night, I`m in the room crying constantly and it just kills me because I know somebody got her on her will -- they won`t let her go," Myles' cousin, Crystal Lee said.

Family members are emphasizing that with a one-year-old son, Myles wouldn't have taken off for so long on her own.

"She knew Christmas, the holidays was coming up. It`s something she just would`ve never did and I`m very scared for her because I don`t know what to expect at all," Lee said.

Family members say their concern grows with what they say is a lack of clues in the case, but they're certain someone has the answers they seek.

"I just believe there`s someone out here that knows something on her whereabouts and I wish they`d speak up and tell the public what`s going on," Coats said.

Relatives say Myles is about 5'3" tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink and gray winter hat with a cat design, a black pea coat and light blue jeans. She has a scar on the left side of her forehead.

Milwaukee police tell FOX6 News they've had an open case on Stephanie Myles since December 14th -- one day after she was last seen. Police say they do not consider her to be a critical missing case because they haven't been made aware of any factors that would meet that threshold -- saying Myles is over the age of 11, and there are no indications she is suicidal or that she has a diagnosed condition that would subject herself or others to danger.

Anyone who has any information as to Myles' whereabouts is asked to contact police.
