LAKE DELTON (WITI) — Police in Lake Delton are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of making a bomb threat targeting the Lake Delton Walmart store.

It happened on Saturday, January 3rd, just before 7:30 p.m.

Police say a middle-aged white man entered the Walmart Superstore in Lake Delton — attempting to gain access to a secured office area.

The suspect handed a note to Walmart management staff demanding he have access to the secured office area — or he would detonate a bomb.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored newer model four-door vehicle.

No explosive devices were located.

The man was wearing a black hooded Carhartt jacket, jeans and a surgical mask over his face.

He is said to be in his 40s or 50s, standing 5’10” and weighing approximately 230 to 250 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lake Delton police.
