Threat discovered on bathroom wall at Nathan Hale H.S. in West Allis leads to evacuation

WEST ALLIS (WITI) --  Nathan Hale High School in West Allis was evacuated Tuesday, January 6th after a threat was found on a bathroom wall.

West Allis police say just before 12:30 p.m., the department was notified of a written bomb threat at the high school -- located in the 11600 block of W. Lincoln Avenue.

Police say the threat indicated a bomb would go off at the school Tuesday.

School officials worked to evacuate students from the building. They were taken to a safe location.

West Allis police officers responded to the school and assisted with the evacuation. Officers were assisted by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office's K-9 and Bomb Unit in searching the school.

No explosives were found.

Police say the investigation into this threat is ongoing.
