Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee opening two sites Thursday as MPS cancels school

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (BGCGM) will be opening two sites on Thursday, January 8th for young people while Milwaukee Public Schools are closed due to weather.

The Mary Ryan Club located at 3000 North Sherman Boulevard and the Don & Sallie Davis Club at 1975 S. 24th street will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday for all BGCGM members.

Children must be a BGCGM member to attend the clubs, however applications will be available for families who wish to attend. There is a $5 membership fee, but BGCGM will not turn any child or teen away.

All other BGCGM clubs will remain closed.

BGCGM advises all families to adhere to Health Department guidelines regarding venturing out during severe weather conditions.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (BGCGM), one of the largest and longest youth-serving agencies in Milwaukee, offers high-quality programming and has been instrumental in positively influencing the lives of Milwaukee’s most disadvantaged youth.
