Discovery World helps Packers fans gear up for Sunday's big game

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Undoubtedly hundreds or thousands of Wisconsinites will be glued to their television or attending Sunday's big match-up between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys.

And if you're looking for some creative, do-it-yourself fan gear to cheer on the Packers, Milwaukee's Discovery World has you covered.

Inside the Kohl's Design It! Lab anything goes.

"We like people to believe that they can design their own world through their objects," said Ben Tyjeski, Kohl's Design It! Lab program coordinator.

So all are welcome to join the fun.

For this weekend's project the Quick Shop Cafe is serving up a lot of green and gold.

"We want to be a part of that community spirit and design stuff for them," said Tyjeski.

A spirit that will ring loud and proud at Sunday's showdown when the Packers take on the Cowboys. For design futurist intern Caitlin, sports aren't her thing -- but being creative is.

"This is the easiest way to get me into sports," said Caitlin Holdredge, Discovery World intern.

Caitlin is on her second semester as an intern with Discovery World. She's studying 1-dimensional illustration but here she's learning about 3-dimensional spaces.

"So here I work with a bunch of other creative minds and it's just a really great experience to work with a bunch of different artists and when you get a bunch of different artists together we come up with great ideas," said Caitlin.

Like face masks made out of Aaron Rodgers eyes, or wearable cardboard helmets and foam pennants -- each project unique and interactive.

"We really like to try to create projects in that way because if you wear it it's much more easier to present and it's fun too," said Tyjeski.

What better way to cheer on the green and gold!

The Discovery World is also open tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. for more quick ship craft activities.
