"I love it in Green Bay:" Aaron Rodgers' girlfriend, Olivia Munn talks to Conan about life in Titletown

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- You probably knew her as Aaron Rodgers girlfriend. Apparently, actress Olivia Munn is feeling at home in Wisconsin. On "Conan" Tuesday night, January 20th, she talked about life in Green Bay and said she's a big fan of a popular Green Bay meat market.

Conan O'Brien: "What is that like for you? Are you adapting to life in Green Bay?"

"Yeah, I love it in Green Bay. It's really comfortable there, and everybody is so great there," Munn said.

Munn, best known for her role in HBO's "The Newsroom" said she realized just how comfortable she was in Green Bay when her representatives in Los Angeles asked her to do a business call. Munn declined, but had to explain a bit.

"I was like 'oh no! I've got meat on hold and I've got to go pick it up.' And they're like 'you've got meat on hold?' And I'm like 'yeah! Maplewood Meat market. They've got some meat on hold and I have to go pick it up because they close and I gotta go get it!'" Munn said.

The shout-out surprised Maplewood Meats manager Brad Van Hemelryk, who watches Conan regularly.

"Texted the parents right away. They were pretty excited to see that come across there, and then the phone started to get quite a few text messages coming in," Hemelryk said.

The owners of Maplewood Meats say, like many customers, Munn typically calls in her order. So how often? They say during the football season, she's in weekly.

"We just really enjoy that she stops in and she's buying local obviously and we appreciate her business and obviously the shout-out," Hemelryk said.

Munn, who usually orders fresh-cut steaks, said on Conan...

"I feel like it's a Midwest thing -- put some meat on hold -- anybody else?" Munn said.

"I've never put meat on hold, but I guess if Aaron Rodgers was coming over to my house I would probably put a lot of things on hold," Tanya Baenen of Hobart said.

Some said knowing Munn shops at Maplewood Meats might increase their own visits to the market.

You might see Munn, but Rodgers fans -- just so you know -- Van Hemelryk says he's never seen #12 in the store.

Munn appeared on Conan to promote the film "Mortdecai," which also stars Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow.
