Former Packers GM Ron Wolf elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- He was considered the architect and now he's a hall of famer. Saturday, January 31st, Ron Wolf was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

An 80% approval from the selection committee was needed for Wolf to get in.

He turned the Packers around after coming to the team in 1991 when the team was struggling for wins.

That's when he brought in Mike Holmgren and Brett Favre and a little later, Reggie White -- which led to the Packers Super Bowl championship against the Patriots.

Under his leadership, the Packers went to the playoffs 6 straight years, won the NFC Championship twice. As well as had the best home record in the NFL from 1992-2000.

Also, his legacy is still alive and well as 6 general manager's can trace their roots to Wolf.

Former Packers Coach Kevin Greene was also eligible for the Hall of Fame, but he came up short.
