(CNN) — Two students were wounded in a shooting at a high school basketball game in Frederick, Maryland, on Wednesday. The shooters are still at large, said police spokesman Capt. Richard Hetherington.

The victims were both male and were rushed to a medical facility in Baltimore, said county schools spokesman Michael Doerrer. Frederick High School is about 50 miles west of the city.

Police put the school on lockdown and temporarily prevented students from leaving.

Everyone else in the building is safe and accounted for, Doerrer said, and students will be allowed to leave.
