"Please come forward:" Woman says man killed in "execution style" shooting was a father of three

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- It was a fatal shooting a witness described to FOX6 News as "execution style." Initially, police believed it may have followed some sort of road rage incident. Now, police say it appears the suspect shot two victims due to a previous dispute with at least one of them. Police are now looking for that suspect.

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was killed in the shooting that occurred near Fond du Lac and Silver Spring Drive just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, February 8th. Another man, also 26 years old, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Latoya Raymond says the man who died is Latrail Ball, the father of her three children.

"Some people get on the news and cry. Well, me -- I done cried enough. I can't cry no more. I'm just begging -- please, whoever you are, just please come forward. Please -- because I have to deal with this for the rest of my life. My son, he didn't get a chance to see -- he was like 'I wanna see where my daddy passed away at,' so I took that ride," Raymond said.

A witness to the shooting tells FOX6 News he watched an unidentified suspect approach a vehicle and fire eight to ten shots at both the driver and passenger.

"He didn`t even waver.  It was kind of like an execution style.  Walked up, pulled it out and started shooting," the witness, who didn't want to be identified said.

Investigators say while they initially thought the incident may have involved some sort of road rage incident, it now appears that the suspect shot Ball and the other 26-year-old man due to a previous dispute. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

"Off of 84th Street, walked to the middle of Fond du Lac Avenue and just opened fire. Eight to ten shots," the witness said.

Raymond says Ball's children cannot comprehend the idea that their father is gone.

"They know they daddy loved them to death. They know he will forever be with them, no matter what," Raymond said.

Ball's children include a nine-year-old son and two daughters, ages eight and six.

If you have any information that may help police in this case, you're asked to give them a call.
