MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) — Evidence collected at a barber shop burglary in Mount Pleasant led police to arrest 34-year-old Richard McManus.
Back in November, a barber shop located at 2246 Mead St. in the Village of Mount Pleasant was burglarized. During the initial investigation, police collected several pieces of evidence at the scene that eventually led to the identity of McManus.
Mount Pleasant Police Department notified a corrections officer at the Racine County Jail about trying to locate McManus near the courthouse.
Shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 13th, the corrections officer spotted McManus and arrested him.
McManus was transported to the Racine County Jail and faces charges for Burglary as a Habitual Offender and Bail Jumping.
