LATEST: Milwaukee police say 24-year-old man injured in February 11th shooting has now died

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say one of two people shot and wounded near Sherman and Roosevelt on February 11th has now died.

That victim has been identified as 24-year-old Ryan Rompre.

The shooting occurred around 11:00 a.m.



Police say the suspect pulled up next to a victim’s vehicle in traffic and fired shots into it, striking Rompre and a 25-year-old woman.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Rompre suffered serious injuries, while the woman was being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police do not have a suspect in custody.

At the time of the shooting, police said they believed it may be drug related.
