RAW VIDEO: Gas station employees beaten by man accused of shoplifting

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 21-year-old Milwaukee man is expected to be charged on Tuesday, February 23rd -- for an incident that happened at a gas station near 49th and Lisbon.

Around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st, the suspect confronted two employees of the station who accused him of stealing items. The suspect took a wooden bat that belonged to the employees and started beating them with it before he fled from the scene.

The victims, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man and a 39-year-old Milwaukee man, were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The suspect was arrested on Sunday. His case has been presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
