Casting Crowns & Justin Moore to take the main stage at the 2015 Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- February 24, 2015 – The music selection for this year’s Fair continues to take shape as two more of the 11 shows are announced for the Main Stage presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The 2015 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular®, opens Thursday, Aug. 6 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16 at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Returning to the State Fair after their inspirational performance in 2011, contemporary Christian rock group Casting Crowns will take center stage on Monday, Aug. 10. Since banding together in 1999 in Daytona Beach, Fla., Casting Crowns has released numerous number one hits, including The Altar and the Door and Praise You in This Storm.” Band members Mark, Juan, Josh, Melodee, Megan, Chris and Brian released their latest album, “Thrive,” in January of 2014 and continue to be one of the most accomplished Christian groups of the decade. Opening for Casting Crowns is Grammy winner of Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, for King and Country, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $25 and $35 and all seating will be reserved.

Country music singer-songwriter Justin Moore will bring a taste of the backwoods when he performs at the fair on Thursday, Aug. 13. Moore has released numerous chart-toppers, including his boot-stompin’ hits “Backwoods,” “Lettin’ the Night Roll” and “Point at You.” Since being named the Academy of Country Music Awards’ New Artist of the Year in April 2014, Moore has collaborated with other up-and-coming stars, such as Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett, and continues to woo fans around the country. Easton Corbin will open the 7:30 p.m. show, strumming out hit tunes, including his number one single, “Roll With It.” All track tickets for this show will be General Admission, standing room only; reserved seating will begin in the grandstand. Tickets can be purchased for $39 or $29.

Tickets for these shows, as well as tickets for the previously announced Boston show, will go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. at WiStateFair.com and at the Fair Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased online with print-at-home or mail-order options. Service fees apply to all online orders. The Ticket Office is located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All State Fair Main Stage tickets INCLUDE FAIR ADMISSION when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park.
