SHOREWOOD (WITI) — Shorewood is one step closer to getting a Roundy’s Metro Market.

Demolition of the abandoned Schwartz and Walgreens buildings on Oakland Avenue began Tuesday, February 24th.

They are making way for a two-level flagship Roundy’s Metro Market.

Shorewood’s Pick ‘n Save will remain open until sometime in May, when demolition begins on that building.

The Metro Market is expected to open in January 2016.
