Police looking for striking vehicle after man seriously injured in hit-and-run crash

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating a serious hit-and-run crash that occurred early Saturday morning, February 28th.

It happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. near N. Hopkins Street and W. Lancaster Avenue.

Police say a 52-year-old man was struck by a vehicle, and the vehicle’s driver didn’t stop. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The striking vehicle is believed to be a 1995-1997 Toyota Avalon. That vehicle hasn’t been located by police.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact Milwaukee police.
