MILWAUKEE (WITI) — There could soon be new life for the property that used to be the Goldmann’s department store on Milwaukee’s south side.

Investors are seeking approval to convert the former store on Mitchell Street into a health clinic.

The project would bring new activity to the building which has been vacant since Goldmann’s closed in 2007.

The rehab requires approval from Milwaukee’s Historic Preservation Commission because Mitchell Street is a designated historic area.
