MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The City of Milwaukee's Department of City Development is seeking proposals to redevelop the former Stella’s Restaurant located at 2730 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in the Harambee Neighborhood and within the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District.

The solid brick building has almost 7,000 square feet of prime commercial space and features a large parking lot.

The preferred commercial uses are a sit down restaurant, catering service or banquet hall, but general retail service or specialty use will also be considered.

To complete this redevelopment, financial resources and incentives may be available from the City of Milwaukee such as façade grants, white box grants and retail investment funds. Business financing may also be available through our partner MEDC.

Proposals will be accepted after April 28, 2015 and reviewed on a continuous basis until an acceptable proposal is received.

How much money will need to be given for someone to decide to open something in the inner city??? Must be a great area…..brick walls though -good for stopping bullets as long as they aren’t inside…..but let’s keep ignoring the obvious and blame someone else for all the problems. Keep voting for democrats and enjoy the new Detroit.
