NEW BERLIN (WITI) — A new Walmart opened Wednesday, March 11th, following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m.

The new store is located at 15205 W. Greenfield Ave. and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The store will provide New Berlin residents with low prices on a broad assortment of groceries and merchandise, along with a full service pharmacy. Walmart is making shopping more convenient than ever as local residents can shop for more than a million additional items online on Walmart.com and pick them up at the New Berlin Walmart store for free, often as quickly as the same day.

The new store employs approximately 225 full-time and part-time associates. Store manager Terra Biggin began her Walmart career in 1992 as a part-time sales associate.

“We are so excited to bring this new store with fresh produce, meat and a bakery, plus great new services like a Vision Center for our customers,” Biggin said.

“The City of New Berlin welcomes the new Walmart store to our community, and we look forward to the increased shopping options, job opportunities and to a mutually beneficial relationship,” said New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament.

As part of its grand opening ceremony, Walmart officials made donations to the New Berlin Police Department, the New Berlin Fire Department, the New Berlin VFW, the New Berlin Food Pantry and Feeding America.
