Captured: U.S. Marshals search for Juan Ortiz who faces several charges

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- U.S. Marshals are looking for 28-year-old Juan Ortiz.

Ortiz is supposed to be on probation for fleeing police on Milwaukee's south side in 2013.  In that incident, a criminal complaint says Ortiz sped away when officers approached his car and reached speeds up to 60 miles per hour on neighborhood streets.

Since his release from the House of Corrections in July, U.S. Marshals say Ortiz has been connected to multiple crimes.

In October, police responded to the possible kidnapping of Ortiz's girlfriend.  By November, Ortiz was wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery and false imprisonment.  In December, U.S. Marshals say allegations arose that Ortiz robbed a truck drive at gunpoint.  In January, U.S. Marshals say allegation arose that Ortiz committed third degree sexual assault.

Ortiz is 5'10'' and weighs 190 pounds.  He goes by the nicknames 'Loony' and 'Snoopy.'  U.S. Marshals say he now has short hair and wears wire rimmed glasses. His tattoos include a joker or jack-in-the box on his left arm and a dollar sign, eagle wings on his back that wrap around to his arms, and the words 'usted y yo para siempre.'

U.S. Marshals warn Ortiz may be armed.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 414-297-3707.
