Tony Robinson’s mother says she trusts prosecutors will seek the truth as they review the case
MADISON (AP) — The mother of 19-year-old Tony Robinson, fatally shot by Madison Police Officer Matt Kenny in early March says she trusts prosecutors will seek the truth as they review the case.
Andrea Irwin told The Associated Press on Wednesday, April 1st she believes Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne will thoroughly review the circumstances surrounding Robinson’s death. She says she doesn’t know enough about what happened to form an opinion.
Kenny shot Robinson on March 6th. Police have said Robinson attacked Kenny as the officer was responding to calls that Robinson had assaulted two people and was running in traffic.
Few details have emerged. State agents completed an investigation last week and handed their findings to Ozanne, who must decide whether to charge Kenny.
