MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Attorney Michael Hupy with the law firm Hupy & Abraham has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the shooter in an incident in which two people were shot and killed after a toddler was struck by a vehicle and killed on Milwaukee’s north side Sunday, April 12th.

It happened just after 5:00 p.m. near N. 48th Street and Glendale.

Officials say their investigation shows 40-year-old Archie Brown was driving a van northbound on N. 48th Street when two-year-old Damani Terry ran into the road.  The van struck the child and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brown, whom witnesses indicate was distraught about hitting the child, stopped and exited the van immediately following the crash and was fatally shot by an unknown suspect. Brown was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say a second victim, 15-year-old Rasheed Chiles was also fatally shot by the suspect. Chiles was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.  Both Terry and Chiles were attending a party at the house near where the incident happened — and the Medical Examiner’s Office says two-year-old Terry and 15-year-old Chiles were brothers.

No one has been arrested.

Michael Hupy is offering $25,000 to the first person who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter. Hupy is a longtime activist and is deeply involved with the Milwaukee community.

“I was frankly outraged at what happened. This is, I think, putting Milwaukee on the road to lawlessness,” Michael Hupy said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360.

I would hope that who ever claims the money would be gracious enough to donate the funeral expenses to the families of the three victims.

Of all the murders in Milwaukee this year, 3 have been committed by white people. Do the math tall glass. Owned!

Thank you Mr. Hupy for such a wonderful gesture. I’m sure there are many people besides me that deeply appreciate your generous support for this community.
This city desperately begs for responsible leadership in such troubling times.
I am greatly thankful for men such as Sheriff David Clarke, Alderman Joe Davis and Alderman Bob Donovan who show the courage to speak out !

Every person at that party knows who shot the driver & the 15 year old. They should all be thrown in jail for obstruction.

As an African American. I am sickened by the lack of marching and protesting in the black community when it comes to black on black crime.

you idiots with your statements about “African American community/Black community”…what is that exactly?? There are Hmong, Chinese, Latino. White among others in these areas. The fact that you label like that speaks volumes of segregation and stupidity!!
