Third homicide Tuesday: 63-year-old man dead as a result of battery incident

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police say a 63-year-old man died as a result of a battery incident that occurred on Tuesday evening, April 14th.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of N. 9th Street and Clarke Street.

Police say the victim, who has been identified as Alfred Brown was involved in “some type of physical altercation.” He was resuscitated and taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding what is Milwaukee’s third homicide Tuesday, April 14th. They are awaiting autopsy results to determine a cause of death.

Earlier Tuesday, a 24-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally stabbed near 13th and Locust. A 30-year-old woman was arrested.

On Tuesday afternoon, 18-year-old Michael Powell was found shot to death in a home near 29th and Melvina — in an incident that may have begun with a home invasion.

    I wish there were more details about the beating including if some type of object was used to inflict the beating. “some type of physical altercation” is not enough information to know what mayor mccheese can blame on Governor Walker and the state legislature for this death. Do we need to restrict the sale of baseball bats, tire irons, rakes, shovels??? Please provide more information so we know who and what to blame for this death because it surely can’t be the person or people who did it!!!!
