Third homicide Tuesday: 63-year-old man dead as a result of battery incident

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say a 63-year-old man died as a result of a battery incident that occurred on Tuesday evening, April 14th.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of N. 9th Street and Clarke Street.

Police say the victim, who has been identified as Alfred Brown was involved in "some type of physical altercation." He was resuscitated and taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding what is Milwaukee's third homicide Tuesday, April 14th. They are awaiting autopsy results to determine a cause of death.

Earlier Tuesday, a 24-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally stabbed near 13th and Locust. A 30-year-old woman was arrested.

On Tuesday afternoon, 18-year-old Michael Powell was found shot to death in a home near 29th and Melvina -- in an incident that may have begun with a home invasion.
