Police arrest teen boys, accused in armed robbery on Wells St., airsoft gun found at the scene

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were able to quickly apprehend three teenagers accused in an armed robbery that occurred in the 100 block of W. Wells Street on Saturday, April 18th.

It happened shortly after 11:00 p.m.

At the scene, police spoke with two female victims who reported they were in a parking lot when three suspects approached them -- one with a gun, and demanded their belongings.

The suspects took one of the victim's phones and her purse and fled on foot.

Officers on patrol spotted the suspects in the 600 block of N. Water Street, and took them into custody.

Several of the items belonging to the victim, including her driver’s license and wallet, were found on the sidewalk between where the robbery happened and where the arrests took place. Officers also found an airsoft gun on the sidewalk near the crime scene.

The suspects are a 14-year-old boy and two 15-year-old boys from Milwaukee.

 

Charges are being presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
