Total loss: Two-alarm blaze at home in Town of Trenton leads to $280K in damage

TOWN OF TRENTON (WITI) -- Several fire departments were called out to battle a two-alarm fire at a home in the Town of Trenton on Tuesday evening, April 21st.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. at a home on Knollwood Road.

A passerby spotted the fire and quickly called 911. The Newburg Fire Department and deputies were subsequently dispatched to the scene.

The first personnel on scene reported flames coming from the back side of the residence/garage area.



The Newburg Fire Department upgraded the response and personnel from the following departments responded to assist: Jackson Fire Department, West Bend Fire Department, Cedarburg Fire Department, Saukville Fire Department, Fillmore Fire Department, Grafton Fire Department & Rescue, Waubeka Fire Department, Fredonia Fire Department, Port Washington Rescue and Kewaskum Rescue.

The fire was extinguished.

The home was unoccupied, and it is a total loss after the fire. Preliminary damage estimates are around $280,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
