Fire displaces about 70 tenants in Green Bay

GREEN BAY,  (AP) — Fire at an apartment complex in Green Bay has displaced about 70 people.

Authorities say all residents of the Sand and Sun apartments evacuated safely when fire broke out about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Fire officials tell WLUK-TV  the apartment building is a total loss and apparently started in the basement. .

The Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Danz Elementary School gym. About 35 people were at the shelter early Tuesday.
