Plymouth woman accused of stealing dozens of cans of baby formula

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- 26-year-old Jessica Saunders of Plymouth faces one count of felony retail theft and two more counts of misdemeanor retail theft in Sheboygan County.

According to the criminal complaint, Saunders is accused of "numerous thefts of baby formula from Walmarts in Sheboygan County. In each of these cases, the defendant entered the store, took approximately 18 cans of baby formula, put them in canvas bags she brought into the store, then left with the canvas bags without paying for the formula."

The complaint indicates Saunders took baby formula from two separate Walmart stores on April 11th and April 25th. It also says she stole from a Pick 'N Save store on April 28th. The value of the thefts was anywhere from $324 to $517.

If convicted, Saunders faces up to three-and-a-half years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
