MILWAUKEE (WITI) — One person is dead and two others were injured in two separate shooting incidents that occurred late Thursday night, May 7th.

Milwaukee police say they are investigating a homicide that occurred near 50th and Center around 10:40 p.m.

Police say a 32-year-old man from Milwaukee was shot while on the porch of his girlfriend’s residence by an unknown subject(s). The victim died from his wounds on scene despite lifesaving efforts. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear, and police say their investigation is ongoing.

Milwaukee police are also investigating a double shooting that occurred near 46th W. Lisbon at 10:58 p.m.

Police say an altercation inside a tavern spilled out into a parking lot where shots were exchanged between the two parties. Two male victims, ages 17 and 18, suffered what appear to be non-life threatening wounds, they are currently being treated at a local hospital. The other actor fled the scene in a vehicle at a high rate of speed. He collided with a parked auto in the 2600 Block of N. 46th St. and then fled on foot.

Shut the bar down? Yeah that will stop the violence. I have a better idea. How about we start throwing people in jail when they commit a felony or have a lengthy criminal record instead of giving them a slap on the wrist.

I never said they should shut the bar down. Just make regular patrols in these barsand arrest all of the felons carrying weapons, ticket underage drinkers, etc. Rather than holding press conferences with all of the church pastors in the inner city, go where the criminals are hanging out in the taverns after 10pm. Thats how they could make an impact on rounding up these POS criminals.
