Fire damages Johnsonville Sausage plant in Watertown; cause under investigation

WATERTOWN (WITI) — Firefighters on Monday morning, May 11th were called out to the scene of a fire at Johnsonville Sausage in Watertown. The call came in around 12:55 a.m.

When crews arrived on scene, they encountered heavy smoke coming from the roof, doors and windows.

The building was unoccupied at the time. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
