MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police have arrested three teenagers accused in a strong armed robbery on the city’s west side.

These teenagers are accused of stealing a cell phone from a 12-year-old boy.

It happened in the 2400 block of N. 48th Street just before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th.

Police spoke with the 12-year-old victim, who told officers he was walking on the sidewalk when three suspects approached him. One of the suspects grabbed his phone while another struck him and then all three suspects fled on foot.

As officers searched the area, a neighbor came forward and said the suspects were still in the area of N. 45th Street and W. North Avenue.

The officers found the suspects and after a brief foot chase all three were taken into custody.

One of the suspects admitted to grabbing the phone from the victim.

The suspects are a 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old boy, all from Milwaukee.

Charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.

Unfair you may claim? That’s how us taxpayers feel when the politicians say the “haves” need to give their belongings to the “have nots”. Just glad the 12 yr old wasn’t beaten too.
