(WITI) — Many have tried to ride a hoverboard and now, that dream has become a reality!

Canadian Software Engineer Catalin Alexandy Duru, has broken the Guinness World Record for farthest flight by hoverboard.

Catalin traveled on his very own hoverboard prototype, more than 900 feet over a lake in Quebec — that’s about 5 times further than the previous record.

The hoverboard trip was all captured on video.

Catalin and his business partners are hoping to create a new prototype to sell them in the future.
