Several acts are banding together for a local girl, other kids battling cancer

MILWAUKEE  -- Patrick Manner and his daughter Ella, better known as "Pinky" join FOX6 WakeUp to share their story and tell us how they're helping other families and children battling cancer. Click here to learn more.

Ella was born New Year's Eve 2013. Her parents knew in utero that she had a tumor but it had a very small, one in 35,000, chance of being cancer. At two days old she had day long surgery to remove the tumor and eight days later they determined it was cancerous. She started chemo just before she was a month old and had four rounds before she was even six months old. Just this Tuesday she had her one year scans and she is now one full year cancer free. Her type of cancer is what's called a sacrococyxgeal teratoma (SCT) a type of germ cell tumor.

Following Ella's fight with cancer, her father Patrick started "Pinky's Promise" with the goal of curing childhood cancer, supproting Warrior children and families who are in treatment and honoring those children who have gon to become Angels.

Tomorrow "Pinky's Promise" is hosting a concert to benefit Midwest Ahtletes Against Childhood Cancer, or MACC, fund.
It will take place at the Cedarburg Cultural Center starting at 7 p.m.

Several bands will be performing, including national recording artists "Daniel and the Lion." Tickets are $30 per person and include a dinner.
