Two teens arrested in connection with attempted armed robbery on city's north side

MILWAUKEE  -- Milwaukee police arrested two teenage suspects for an attempted armed robbery on Milwaukee’s north side.

Officers responded to N. 49th Street and W. Concordia Avenue around 5:00 p.m. on June 4th and were met by a 43-year-old Milwaukee man who said two suspects approached him, implied they had a weapon, demanded the victim’s cell phone, but then fled on foot.

Officers found two teenagers matching the description of the suspects a short time later near W. Auer Avenue and 3rd Street. The suspects, a 15-year-old Milwaukee male and a 16-year-old Milwaukee male, were taken into custody.

MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days
