MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to close the I-43 south exit ramp to WIS 100/US 45, beginning at 5:00 a.m.  Monday, July 6th. The ramp is anticipated to reopen Thursday, July 9, by 5:30 a.m.

The closure is necessary for crews to complete a bridge polymer overlay on one complete bridge structure and one partial bridge structure.

The work is part of the Hale Interchange Maintenance Project addressing bridges and ramps in and around the Hale. The project began November of 2014. The contractor, Zenith Tech, plans on completing the project late summer of 2015.

Signed detour:

  • Motorists on I-894 East (southbound) should exit at Beloit Road, and then proceed westbound to connect with WIS 100.
  • Motorists on I-43 South (westbound) should exit at Forest Home Ave., and then continue southbound to connect with WIS 100.

All scheduled operations are weather dependent and subject to change.
