Some City of Milwaukee services will not be available July 3rd, due to holiday weekend

MILWAUKEE -- If you need city services for any reason, get them out of the way as soon as possible. That's because City of Milwaukee government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2015 in celebration of the Independence Day holiday. However, some Department of Public Works (DPW) services will be available for limited hours of operation and certain parking restrictions will be lifted. Here's a list of what you need to know:

Garbage, Recycling, and Self-Help Centers:
