Car fire leads to major backups on I-43 SB near Brown Deer Road during morning commute

MILWAUKEE — A car fire led to major backups for drivers Thursday morning, July 9th on I-43 southbound near Brown Deer Road.

We’re told the car went off the road, and ended up in a wooded area, and it started on fire.

Only one lane of traffic was allowed through as firefighters respondd to the scene.

Traffic was backed up for miles.

The scene cleared just after 9:00 a.m.

    Shut up I was just dropped off on brown deer i could have been in there and iy coulf have been real bad we work 3rd shift doing more work then we suppose to so maybe he was tired befor u act as if u was there

    Fred, kill yourself! I mean that literally. My boyfriend almost lost his life today because of human nature. Falling asleep behind the wheel because he works third shift. Try knowing the actual story before blurting out something stupid. Try keeping your dumb assumptions to yourself as an accomplishment to start your day. Build from that!
