We Energies officials: Second round of storms knocks out power to 9,900

SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN  -- Storms led to power outages on Monday, July 13th. As of about 4:30 p.m., We Energies officials said power had been restored to 43,000+ customers since 3:00 a.m., when the outages began.

A second round of storms pushed through on Monday night, and as of about 9:30 p.m., We Energies officials said 9,900 were without power. Of those 9,990, about 800 were still without power as a result of the first round of storms that pushed through on Monday morning.

The breakdown of those without power Monday night was as follows:

We Energies officials said Waukesha County was among the hardest hit areas as it relates to power outages on Monday night.

Earlier Monday, the western part of the We Energies service area near Watertown and in the southern part of the We Energies territory both in and near Kenosha had the most customers without power.
