WEST ALLIS — West Allis police say the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office’s Explosive Ordnance Detection Unit (bomb squad) was called out to the Sam’s Club Store in West Allis at Highway 100 and Greenfield Avenue on Tuesday evening, July 14th for a report of a ‘bottle bomb.’

This was the second call of the evening for the Sheriff’s Office’s EOD unit.

The Sheriff’s Office was notified about this incident around 8:30 p.m.

West Allis police say there was a report of a bottle bomb, or Drano bomb in the parking lot at the Sam’s Club store.

The device was diffused by EOD unit officials.

No one was injured.

An investigation is underway as to who placed the bomb. We’re told a preliminary investigation has indicated it was placed by juveniles.

Around 7:00 p.m., the EOD unit responded to New Berlin, for a report of a possible grenade found by a resident who was cleaning a basement.
