RACINE — If there’s one thing that’s required to run a triathlon, it’s persistence and that was certainly proven in Racine on Saturday, July 18th before the race even started.
Just moments after the storms let up this afternoon, athletes were already back out near the start line. They’re setting up their bikes for Sunday’s Ironman Triathlon.
The race starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday and more than 2,200 athletes from around the world will be taking part.
The race is set to officially end 8 hours and 30 minutes after it starts.
