Lake Moon Festival: Food, live music, 5K race and fun under the moonlight on Lake Michigan!



MEQUON -- Concordia University will host the "Lake Moon Festival" this upcoming Saturday, August 8th -- and it's a great opportunity to enjoy some free family fun along the lakeshore.

Lisa Liljegren, Concordia's director of corporate and community relations joined FOX6's Studio A on Monday, August 3rd to talk about the Lake Moon Festival -- and invite folks to come out and enjoy and celebrate the beauty of a summer evening on Lake Michigan under the light of the moon.

The festival will offer summer food, a unique 5K race, the work of artists inspired by the beauty of a summer night, live music and much more!

The schedule of events for this Saturday's Lake Moon Festival is as follows:

4:00 p.m. -- Life in a Tree performs
4:30 p.m. -- Black Belt Demo- By Chay's Tae Kwon Do
5:00 p.m. -- Bluff Tour
5:30 p.m. -- Carriage Rides Begin
5:45 p.m. -- Jayme Dawicki Performs
6:00 p.m. -- 5K Race
6:00 p.m. -- Bird House Making
6:30 p.m. -- Black Belt Demo - By Chay's Tae Kwon Do
7:00 p.m. -- Bluff Tour
8:00 p.m. -- Willy Porter Performs
9:30 p.m. -- Lakeshore Chinooks Fireworks
